Summer is a time for students to take a break from school and make memories. I reached out to some fellow students to hear what they have planned for the summer. Here’s what they shared:

“I’m studying abroad in France for the first month, and then, I’ll (hopefully) have an internship for the rest of the summer!”
“I’ll have an electrical engineering internship in Chicago.”
“I will probably work a lot. I’d like to camp and hike too!”
“Going home and hopefully working.”
“Starting my new job and going on vacation to Hawaii.”
“I’m going home to spend time with my family and working as a drone pilot for a big ag co-op.”
“I plan on working in a funeral home and getting more knowledge on my major!”
“I am transferring jobs and moving to Missouri, so I plan to try and meet new people as well as find new places to go do things, and hopefully, get familiar with St Louis. We are also planning a vacation to Florida for a week.”
“I am taking a few classes and going on vacation to Panama City Beach or Tampa.”
“I am working and then going on vacation to Charleston, South Carolina. I am also celebrating my 21st birthday!”

It’s clear that SIU students have exciting plans for the summer, from internships and new jobs to travel, family time, and adventures. No matter how they spend it, summer is a chance to grow, explore, and make lasting memories!
