Top 5 Finals Week Study Locations

Finals are next week! There are plenty of wonderful places that I recommend studying on campus. Keep reading for the best spots to conquer your exams!

1. Morris Library

Morris Library is a well-known place to study on campus. There are 8 floors, so it will not be hard to find a space that is perfect for you. It includes collaborative zones, quiet study zones, and silent zones. Collaborative zones are the 1st, 6th, and 7th floors. The quiet study zones are the 2nd-4th floors as well as the Hall of Presidents and Chancellors. Last, the silent zones are the Special Collections Research Center Basement and the 5th floor. Morris Library also has group study rooms with white boards and closed doors located on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors. These can be reserved online.

2. Grinnell Hall Study Hub

Grinnell Hall is located by the residence halls on East Campus. This building is very quiet and is a great place to focus on studying for exams. There is rarely anyone in there and, it has plenty of seating. It includes study rooms and a writing center. This hidden study spot is one of my favorites!

3. Faner Hall

This long building is another great place to study! There are 3 wings to choose from (A, B, and C). Although this building can be a bit confusing to get around, there are plenty of rooms/lounges that you can sit in to get work done. Personally, my favorite place to study in Faner Hall is the College of Liberal Arts lounge located in the B-wing. This is a bright place that keeps me motivated to study.

4. Wham Educational Building

Wham is connected to Pulliam Hall and is the perfect place for studying! It has 3 floors with both outdoor and indoor seating. It is also quiet, so you will not be distracted.

5. Student Center

The Student Center has 4 floors and a basement. I highly recommend the basement because it is both cozy and quiet. On the second floor, there is a study lounge along with many rooms as well. The lounge is comfy, and there are usually not many people there. Next time you are at the Student Center, walk around and find a spot that is perfect for you!
