In the vibrant mosaic of Colombia’s cultural dance scene, Carol shines like a radiant gemstone, her energy contagious. A bird from the mountainous forests of Colombia in a cover of colorful fabrics in turquoise, pink, green, and handmade jewelry indigenous to the tales of Latin American heritage. For me, Carol is full of life and a reflection of the cultural beauty of Colombia, which makes her a beautiful mirror of a kind-hearted and passionate person who brings love and joy to the space wherever she steps.

Amidst this event of diversity, the stage comes alive with the infectious rhythms of Latin music, captivating the audience’s senses and transporting them to the heart of Latin America.

As the artist’s couple movements are a graceful fusion of passion and precision, the audience is spellbound. We are encouraged to immerse ourselves fully in the festival, to relish every beat and every movement, as the magic of the Latin dance fills the air and leaves an indelible mark on our souls.

Carol serves as a dance instructor at the university. For many years, she has tirelessly acted as a cultural liaison, fostering understanding and unity among diverse communities. Throughout her tenure, Carol has led numerous groups of students on transformative journeys to Colombia, immersing them in its rich heritage and vibrant traditions. Her efforts have touched the hearts and minds of countless individuals, leaving an enduring legacy of cross-cultural connection and harmony.

In the early days of her career as a dance instructor, she twirled across the studio floor and noticed a shy student hiding in the shadows, watching with quiet admiration. After some time, under the influence of Carol’s amazing personality, this shy student became a passionate young man who loved Latin dance. Years later, they married. Carol made her home in Carbondale, where they shared their lives for many cherished years.
